CPC Solutions, Inc. was founded by Terence and Betty Johnson.
Both are Certified Professional Coders and Certified Compliance Professionals.
Betty A. Johnson, BA, CPC, CCS-P CIC, CCP

Betty Johnson is the President and CEO of CPC Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-area based healthcare consulting firm. In addition to providing coding education across the country, Betty is a healthcare consultant with over 19 years experience in physician coding, billing, and education. She holds a B.A. in Health Care Administration.
Betty is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is also a Certified Coding Specialist for Physicians (CCS-P) through the American Health Information Management Association. In addition, Betty holds certification as a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) and a Certified Interventional Coder (CIC). Her background includes many years of practice management experience in a variety of specialties.
Betty has successfully completed the American Academy of Professional Coders’ Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor Approval Program. She has been approved by the Academy to teach the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum on a national basis and has served as an instructor for the Academy's Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor Approval Program. Betty serves on the National Advisory Board of the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Betty is the co-creator of the American Medical Association’s Express Reference Cards. She is the co-creator of the Coding Challenge computer board game, and various other educational and coding-related products.
Betty is a national speaker for the American Academy of Professional Coders, The Coding Institute, and other organizations. Betty has been a featured speaker at the American Academy of Professional Coders' national conference, where she will speak again in 2007 in Seattle, Washington.
As president of CPCSI, Betty focuses on coding and billing issues of provider practices, both large and small. She also concentrates on health care regulatory issues, fraud and abuse compliance, reimbursement issues, and PATH guidelines.
Betty’s professional affiliations include: the American Academy of Professional Coders, the South Suburban Illinois Local Chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders of which she was the cofounder and past president, the American Health Information Management Association, , and the Better Business Bureau. Betty serves on the Executive National Advisory Board of the American Academy of Professional Coders and is the Member Relations East officer.
Terence Johnson, JD, CPC, CCP
Consultant/National Speaker/Educator
Terence Johnson is the Vice-President and CFO of CPC Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-area based healthcare consulting firm. In addition to providing coding education across the country, Terence is a healthcare consultant with over 16 years experience in physician coding, billing, and law.
Terence is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders. In addition, Terence holds certification as a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) and a Certified Interventional Coder (CIC). His background includes many years of multi-specialty consulting on coding and compliance.
Terence has successfully completed the American Academy of Professional Coders’ Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor Approval Program. He has been approved by the Academy to teach the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum on a national basis and has served as an instructor for the Academy's Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor Approval Program. Terence also served on the National Legal Advisory Committee of the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Terence is the co-creator of the American Medical Association’s Express Reference Cards. He is the co-creator of the Coding Challenge computer board game, and various other educational and coding-related products. Terence authored the monthly Coding Compass article for Coding Edge magazine for three years, giving advice/information on compliance, coding, and regulatory issues.
Terence is a former national speaker for the American Academy of Professional Coders. Terence has been a featured speaker at the American Academy of Professional Coders' national conference, American Healthcare Lawyers Association’s Medicare and Medicaid Institute, many local conferences for chapters of the American Academy of Professional Coders, and others.
